Features of NUKR series cam followers

are based on double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings without an integral flange between the two roller sets
have the outer ring axially guided by the stud head and pressed-on flange ring via the roller sets
have a sheet metal angle ring pressed into the outer ring shoulder on both sides, forming an effective labyrinth seal
have a hexagonal recess at each end of the stud, enabling the cam follower to be held in place by a hexagonal key (Allen wrench) during mounting
have a relubrication hole for a press-in grease fitting or an adapter from a centralized lubrication system in the centre of each hexagonal recess (Accessories)
have a relubrication hole and an annular groove in the stud seat
accommodate relatively heavy axial loads that can occur because of skew or tilting

The integral flange (stud head) and the pressed-on flange ring enable cam followers to accommodate axial loads that can occur because of skew or tilting.

The crowned outer ring running surface is beneficial for applications where outer ring tilting relative to the track may occur or where edge stresses need to be minimized.

The threaded solid stud (pin) of cam followers can be quickly and easily attached to appropriate machine components by means of a hexagonal nut.

The permissible operating temperature for cam followers can be limited by:

the cage
the seals
the lubricant
the other components

Stud, outer ring and rollers

Cam followers are heat stabilized up to at least:

140 °C (280 °F) for designs based on a cylindrical roller bearing
120 °C (250 °F) for designs based on a needle roller bearing

Cages

The permissible operating temperature for cages depends on the seal material:

steel cages can be used at the same operating temperature as the stud, the outer ring and rollers
120 °C (248 °F) for polyamide 66 cages

Seals

The permissible operating temperature for seals depends on the seal material:

NBR: –40 to +100 °C (–40 to +210 °F)
Temperatures up to 120 °C (250 °F) can be tolerated for brief periods
PP: –20 to +80 °C (–5 to +185 °F)
PTFE: -196 to +260 °C (–320 to +500°F) * continuous working temperature had better below +200 °C ( +392°F)
Sheet metal angle rings can be used at the same operating temperatures as the stud, the outer rings and rollers

Lubricants

Lithium Soap Grease NLGI #2

SINOPEC Hangu 2# : –20 to +120 °C (–4 to +248 °F)
Shell Alvania EP2: –20 to +120 °C (–4 to +248 °F)

Other components

Eccentric collars and pressed-on flange rings can be used at the same operating temperature as the stud, the outer ring and rollers.
